Puppies generally are never fed puppy food as the protein is to high and causes the puppies to grow to fast which can cause bone/joint problems like PANO o HOD.  Puppies will still get as big as they are going to get, you just want them to do it at a slower pace. Protein should be 24% or under.  Eagle Pack does have a Large Breed Adult and a Large Breed Puppy Formula that is good for and ok to use for Danes.
